Registered Nurse – Outpatient Surgery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient Surgery department. You will deliver coordinated nursing care in a pre-admission testing, pre-operative, and Phase 2 post-operative setting. This role does not include intraoperative or procedure room duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and collect relevant health information to support surgical preparation and recovery
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff members
- Provide patient and family education to prepare for procedures and support post-operative recovery
- Facilitate discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a safe, healing environment and adhere to established protocols
- Use critical thinking and independent judgment to address patient needs
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Vaccination compliance per facility policy (medical and religious exemptions may apply)

- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, day shift
- Contract Duration: 12 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
