Interim Respiratory Therapy Manager

*West Burlington, IA | Day Shift | 13-Week Contract*

This interim leadership role oversees a Respiratory Care department, providing hands-on management while maintaining clinical accountability across all shifts. Primary hours are on days (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), though availability to support all shifts is required. This is a salaried assignment compensated at 40 hours per week regardless of hours worked.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Respiratory Care operations including recruitment, scheduling, performance management, and staff development
• Supervise respiratory therapists and maintain 24-hour departmental accountability
• Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; assess and treat patients with breathing disorders
• Oversee respiratory care modalities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and evidence-based practice
• Manage departmental budgeting, monitor productivity reports, and collaborate with clinical leaders to support financial performance
• Actively participate in shared governance initiatives

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy management experience preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, NRP, and PALS required
• Recent clinical leadership experience in respiratory care
• Workday and UKG experience preferred
