Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced PCU nurses to join its progressive care team. You'll provide skilled nursing care to cardiac and medical/surgical patients in a fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 hours scheduled; 24 hours guaranteed
- Cancellation Policy: One shift cancellation permitted
- Rotation: Every other weekend and holidays per unit schedule
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026 (or within one week thereafter)
Clinical Scope
- Care for cardiac and medical/surgical PCU patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry
- Float to other PCU units as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 24 months PCU experience (recent experience within last 12 months required)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (all AHA-approved)
- Active Colorado nursing license with no infractions
- Valid driver's license
- Recent PCU skills checklist (completed within last 12 months)
Dress Code
Navy scrubs required.
Time Off Policy
- No time-off requests during the first week
- Requests cannot exceed 7 days total for the contract period
Candidates must be ready to start on or before the listed start date and willing to accept the position immediately upon offer.
