Cardiac & Vascular Operating Room Nurse

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Cardiac and Vascular Surgery
• Shift: 4 × 10-hour AM shifts (40 hours/week)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: Every Monday
• Location: Atlanta, GA (50-mile radius)

Clinical Scope

You'll work in a busy cardiac and vascular OR, supporting complex procedures including endovascular cases, cardiac surgeries (levels 3 and 4), and vascular interventions. You may also float to general OR as needed. Experience with neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and robotic procedures is preferred.

Call & On-Call

• 48–60 hours of call every 4-week period
• Weekend call is required
• Flexibility to schedule calls on your days off or during scheduled work days
• Two on-call rooms available for rest between cases
• You may be released early for sleep if the need for on-call coverage diminishes

Floating

You may be assigned to float between multiple surgical campuses with typically one day's notice. On-call duties remain at your booked primary location only.

Requirements

• GA or compact nursing license
• Strong endovascular experience
• Proficiency with cardiac and vascular procedures (levels 3–4)
