Neuro RN – Night Shift | Morgantown, WV | 13-Week Contract
This travel RN opportunity is on an acute neurosciences unit caring for a diverse patient population including stroke, seizures, deep brain stimulator (DBS) patients, post-operative spine cases, and those with neurological disorders.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend night positions: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
- Holidays included in rotation
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Clinical Details
- Acute neurology unit; floor-level acuity
- G-tube proficiency is essential
- Titration performed per physician order; protocols provided during orientation
- Telemetry present; RNs verify monitor tech readings but are not required to independently read strips
- Respiratory therapy available around the clock; RNs are not required to manage ventilators
- Charge nurse coverage 24/7
Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA) — required
- NIHSS — required and must be in hand at time of submission
- ACLS — preferred
Other Requirements
- Strong recent neurology nursing experience
- G-tube proficiency
- BSN not required
Additional Details
- Scrub color: any combination of white and royal blue
- Unit orientation: 1 shift
- Float may occur to other medical-surgical units within the facility
- Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
