Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Labor & Delivery unit. You'll work the night shift, providing direct care to pregnant patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current Georgia or compact nursing license
- Minimum 18 months of Labor & Delivery experience
- BLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
- ACLS certification preferred
Essential Skills
- IV insertion
- Electronic health record charting
- Fetal heart rate monitoring and interpretation
- Patient and family communication during labor and delivery
Unit Details
You'll care for laboring patients, assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and support patients through the immediate postpartum period. The unit values teamwork and a collaborative approach to care.
Float Requirements
Staff are expected to float to other departments across the facility as clinical needs arise. Float assignments are monitored and department-based.
