House Supervisor — Inpatient/Swing Bed/Detox Unit | Night Shift | Gouverneur, NY

Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 16, 2026

This House Supervisor role supports a scattered-bed inpatient unit serving swing bed, detox, and medical patients. The facility operates a day-surgery program and a small emergency department. The majority of the census consists of subacute patients requiring rehabilitation for debility, wound care, and long-term IV antibiotic therapy.

Patient Population & Diagnoses:

CHF, ia, chest pain rule-out, syncope, diverticulitis, cellulitis, COPD, ETOH withdrawal, opiate withdrawal, and general debility. Patients span all age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Supervisor Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing nursing care across all units
• Code and rapid response management
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation
• Bed and diversion management
• Sentinel event monitoring and incident reporting
• Supporting new admissions, post-procedure care, and transfers to higher levels of care

Scheduling Details:

• Every other weekend required
• Float required across units
• Respiratory therapy support available Monday–Friday only

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of House Supervisor or RN Manager experience
• Emergency Department experience required
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active New York RN license required prior to submission
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Scrubs required; no formal dress code

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, radiology, phlebotomy, and interpretation services.
