Orthopedic/Med-Surg RN — Night Shift | Santa Rosa, CA | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is on an orthopedic and surgical unit caring for adult patients in an acute care setting. The unit manages a high-volume mix of post-operative orthopedic and spine patients, multi-trauma cases, and med/surg overflow.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Float between similar units may be required
• Block scheduling considered at manager's discretion

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Guaranteed hours with one call-off permitted per two-week pay period
• Holiday commitment: Must work 3 of 5 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• Diagnoses: total joint replacement, arthroplasty, spine surgery, multi-trauma, med/surg overflow
• Skills required include central line and PICC management, chest tube care, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, telemetry/remote monitoring, wound vac, PCA, peripheral nerve block catheters, and ortho trauma care
• Robust interdisciplinary support: physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, social services, and unit secretary

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• BLS required
• Valid compact license required at time of submission
• First-time travelers welcome
• Scrub color: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
