Registered Nurse – Orthopedics/Med-Surg | Night Shift | Santa Rosa, CA

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Start Date: November 2026

This night-shift RN position supports an acute care orthopedic and med-surg unit caring for adults across a range of surgical and trauma diagnoses. The unit manages orthopedic surgical patients — including total joint replacements and arthroplasty — spine surgery patients, multi-trauma cases, and med-surg overflow. Remote telemetry monitoring is also utilized.

Clinical Skills & Procedures:

• Total joint replacement and arthroplasty care
• Spine and ortho-trauma management
• Central line, PICC, and port access/management
• Chest tube, lumbar drain, and wound vac care
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• PCA, peripheral nerve block catheters, and CBI
• Blood product administration and substance withdrawal monitoring
• Rapid Response/Code Team participation

Schedule & Requirements:

• Every other weekend required; no on-call
• Float between similar units may be required
• Block scheduling at manager's discretion
• Must commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application

Position Details:

• Certification: BLS required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year; first-time travelers welcome
• License: Valid compact license required at time of submission
• Scrub color: Royal blue or navy blue
• Parking: Complimentary on-site parking
• Orientation: 12 hours
