Orthopedic / Med-Surg Travel RN — Santa Rosa, CA

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is on an orthopedic and medical-surgical unit caring for adult patients. The unit manages post-operative orthopedic and spine surgical patients, multi-trauma cases, and med/surg overflow, with remote telemetry monitoring.

Shift & Schedule

• Days, 3×12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30)
• Every-other-weekend requirement
• No on-call required
• Block scheduling considered at manager's discretion
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; all holiday/scheduling requests must be made upfront

Patient Care Scope

• Total joint replacements and arthroplasty
• Spine surgery patients
• Multi-trauma and ortho trauma
• Remote telemetry monitoring
• Robust interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Social Services, and more

Required Skills Include

• Port access/management, central line and PICC line care
• Blood product administration
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Chest tube management, wound care/wound vac
• PCA management, peripheral nerve block catheters
• Isolation precautions/PPE

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Active BLS certification
• Valid compact license required at time of submission
• No pending licenses accepted
• First-time travelers welcome
