ICU RN – Day Shift

Position Overview

Join the ICU team as a bedside nurse providing care for critically ill adult patients. This role offers the opportunity to work with patients across a range of acuity levels in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekend Coverage: Yes—6 weekend shifts per schedule period
• On-Call: No
• Float: Yes—will float between ICU and Med-Surg as needed

Patient Ratios

Clinical Scope

You'll manage high-acuity patients including those with congestive heart failure exacerbation, ia, COPD exacerbation, acute hypoxia, gastrointestinal bleeds, pancreatitis, acute kidney injury, and other critical conditions. Skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, blood product administration, IV management, feeding tube care, and more.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (first-time travel ICU RNs welcome)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Compact state license required at submission
• Competency in critical care for adult patients
• Ability to function independently as a bedside nurse

• You may float to nearby sister facilities
• Two professional references required (covering 1 year within the last 3 years)
