Position Overview
The facility's OR is seeking an experienced Surgical RNFA for a 13-week travel contract. You'll work day shifts in a high-acuity surgical environment performing both scrub and circulating duties across multiple surgical specialties.
Schedule
- Primary Shift: 4×10 hours (12:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
- Flexibility: 4×10 or 3×12 schedules accepted
- On-Call: Approximately 8 days over the 6-week schedule with the following rotation:
- Kidney call: Monday–Friday (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)
- Kidney call: Saturday–Sunday (24 hours, 6:00 AM–6:00 AM)
- General call: Weekends (7:00 AM–5:00 PM)
- General call: Holidays (7:00 AM–5:00 PM; no kidney call)
You must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Required Experience & Certifications
- 3+ years scrubbing and circulating in the OR
- CRNFA (Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant)
- BLS certification
- California license (Compact license required at submission)
- Proficiency in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, ortho/spine, vascular, urology, gynecology, transplant, and cardiovascular surgery
Clinical Scope
You'll assist with a wide range of procedures including CABG, TAVR, EVAR, endovascular repairs, transplant cases, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries, and general surgical cases.
