Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract | Night Shift | Mission Hills, CA
This 13-week travel assignment places an experienced L&D RN in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Mission Hills, CA. First-time travelers are welcome.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3×12-hour shifts
- No weekend requirement; no on-call required
- Holiday commitment: must be available for 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; post-offer changes may not be granted
Unit Overview
- Patient population: neonates and adults
- High-volume unit — candidates should have experience at a facility performing a minimum of 200 deliveries per month
- Ability to circulate for cesarean sections in the OR is required
- Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and more
- Float to similar nearby units may be required; refusal to float may impact guaranteed hours
Required Certifications & Licensure
- ACLS, BLS, NRP
- Advanced AWHONN
- LA City Fire Card
- Active California RN license (no pending licenses accepted; compact license must be in hand at submission)
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience
- Experience in a non-teaching facility preferred
- Scrubs: any color (L&D and OR scrubs provided)
- Free on-site parking
- 24-hour orientation
- 2 professional references required, covering at least 1 year within the past 3 years
