Labor & Delivery RN – Night Shift | Mission Hills, CA
This night-shift L&D travel position is based at an acute care, Magnet-designated facility in Mission Hills, CA. The unit cares for laboring patients and neonates, with a strong focus on high-volume obstetric care.
Assignment Details
- Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start: ASAP
Clinical Scope
- Labor and delivery patient management for adult and neonatal populations
- Circulating for cesarean sections in the OR is required
- Preferred experience at a facility performing high-volume deliveries
- Floating between like units may be required; refusal to float may affect guaranteed hours
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active CA RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- ACLS, BLS/BCLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, LA City Fire Card
Scheduling & Availability
- Weekends: Not required
- On-Call: Not required
- Holidays: Must commit to 3 of 5 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application; post-offer RTO may not be accommodated
- Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Scrubs: Any color (L&D and OR scrubs provided by facility)
- Parking: Complimentary
- 24-hour orientation
- Two professional references required, covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
