ICU Travel Nurse — Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Nights | 13-Week Contract

This ICU opportunity is set in Portsmouth, NH, offering a 13-week assignment on a high-acuity critical care unit. The shift runs 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with 12 shifts per month (3 per week).

Unit Overview

The ICU manages a complex patient population with a strong focus on cardiac, post-surgical, and stroke cases. The unit is supported around the clock by mid-level providers, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists; PT/OT is available during day shifts. There are no LNAs or PCTs on unit, so strong independent nursing skills are essential.

Scheduling

• 12 shifts/month; 4 weekend shifts required per month
• RTO accommodated by department leadership
• Float rotation applies; travelers float first

Required Skills

• Strong telemetry skills
• Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
• Chest tube experience
• Prior ICU experience

Preferred Skills

• Open heart experience
• Temporary pacing
• Swan-Ganz catheter experience

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Intubation
• Central line and arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS

Dress Code: Scrubs (any color)
