Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is a Joint Commission-accredited emergency department serving a high-volume trauma and acute care population. You'll work in a dynamic 12-hour shift environment with varied start times (6a, 8a, 10a, 12p, 2p, 6p) on a rotating schedule.
Clinical Scope
This role includes care across pediatric, trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients. The department manages Level II trauma cases, STEMI activations, and stroke receiving protocols. You'll deliver bedside nursing across multiple care pods in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (ENPC preferred)
- Minimum 2+ years emergency department experience in a Level II trauma center or higher, including pediatrics, trauma, STEMI, and stroke
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
Additional Details
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- May float to med/surg and critical care assignments as needed
- Start date: September 28, 2026
