Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN — Waco, TX

13-Week Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

This Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit cares for a mixed patient population that includes general medical-surgical cases alongside cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Nurses on this unit manage individualized care plans, coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract with a November 2025 start

Clinical Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans; assess and communicate changes in condition
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately
• Coordinate discharge planning needs with the broader care team
• Apply critical thinking and decisive clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (verified through Nursys)
• Current BLS certification
• Comfortable working with cardiac/telemetry patient populations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Submission Requirements

• Nursing skills checklist
• Two professional references
• Nursys license verification

Onboarding Requirements

• Multi-panel drug screen
• Specialty and EKG competency exam
• Core competency assessment
• Standard immunization documentation (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, TB testing, Influenza)
• Respirator fit test
