Night Shift Nursing – Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Position Overview
Join the facility's medical/surgical telemetry unit for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll provide direct nursing care to patients on a mixed medical/surgical unit with a cardiac patient population, working the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Your Role
You'll implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, assess and communicate patient conditions, and serve as the primary coordinator across all disciplines. You'll carry out physician and nursing orders, coordinate discharge planning, and work independently with minimal supervision. This role demands strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
Unit Details
- Medical/surgical unit with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patients
- Navy or maroon scrubs required
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Valid RN license (verification required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- EKG competency assessment during onboarding
- Standard onboarding health screening (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB screening, fit test)
- Valid driver's license or state ID
- Criminal background check and EPLS verification
- Two professional references
