Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN for a 13-week contract on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care, implement care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and communicate patient status to the healthcare team. This role requires strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Unit Details

You'll work on a busy Medical/Surgical unit with a cardiac population. Patients receive telemetry monitoring, and the unit manages medical and surgical cases across varying acuity levels. You'll wear navy or maroon scrubs and document care in the facility's electronic health record system.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
• Start date: November 15, 2026

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license (verification required)
• ACLS certification strongly preferred
• Ability to work night shift and manage a fast-paced unit
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills

Standard Onboarding Requirements

You'll complete facility-mandated screenings and competencies, including a drug screen, background check, EKG exam, core competencies assessment, and required health documentation (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella, TB screening, and fit testing).
