The facility's Operating Room serves adult and geriatric patients across a broad range of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, and Transplant. Common procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, thyroidectomy, Whipple procedures, spinal fusion, total joint replacements, carotid procedures, and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair.
Position Details
- Shift: 4×10 hours, 06:45 AM – 19:15 PM (days)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: No regular weekend shifts; weekend call required (approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend rotations)
- Floating: Required based on facility needs within scope
Requirements
- License: Current Pennsylvania RN license
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- Specialty competencies: Level I trauma, high-acuity surgical cases, total joint procedures, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, and transplant cases
- Certifications: BLS and TNCC required
- Additional: Charge experience preferred; travel experience required
What You'll Do
You'll function as a skilled OR nurse managing a diverse patient population and high-acuity surgical cases. You'll assist with complex procedures, maintain strict sterile technique, and work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Scrubs are provided by the facility. Locals within 50 miles welcome with local rate differential.
