Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility's operating room is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to support a high-volume surgical program. You'll work alongside surgeons and nursing staff in a busy OR serving adult and geriatric patients across approximately 14 surgical rooms.
Shift & Schedule
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Call requirements: Approximately 6 weekday and 2 weekend call rotations per 6-week period
- Floating: Required based on facility needs within your scope
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of operating room surgical technologist experience
- Level I trauma OR experience
- Current national certification: NBSTSA, NCCT, or equivalent
- Strong general surgery background
Clinical Experience Required
You must demonstrate proficiency in:
- Total joint procedures (hip, knee replacements, arthroscopy)
- Neuro cases (ALIF, cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, kyphoplasty)
- Vascular procedures (carotid endarterectomy, carotid stenting, femoral-popliteal bypass, AAA repair, AV fistula repair)
- Transplant cases (heart, kidney, liver, lung, organ donation)
- General surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic cases, thyroidectomy, Whipple)

- Locals within 50 miles accepted with differential
- Valid state license and certifications required at submission
