Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic operating room serving adult and geriatric patients. You'll work in a 14-room surgical suite performing a wide range of procedures across multiple specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Day, 5×8 hours (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM)
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Call: Required — approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations per 6-week period
- Floating: Yes, within scope based on facility needs
- Weekend Requirement: No regular weekend shifts; call only
Requirements
- License/Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT (National Surgical Technologist certification required)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years OR surgical tech experience
- Trauma: Level I trauma experience required
- Clinical Expertise Required:
- General surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic cases, thyroidectomy, Whipple)
- Orthopedic/total joint procedures (total hip/knee replacement, arthroscopy, fracture repair, spinal fusion)
- Neurosurgery (ALIF, cervical fusion, craniotomy, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion)
- Vascular (carotid angioplasty/stenting, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, AAA repair)
- Transplant (heart, kidney, liver, lung, organ donation)
