CVICU Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced CVICU Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll join the cardiovascular intensive care unit providing direct patient care to high-acuity post-operative cardiac and cardiothoracic surgery patients.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
- Guaranteed hours
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
About the Role
You'll provide skilled nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in a fast-paced intensive care environment. This role demands strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to manage complex hemodynamics and post-operative complications. Experience with vasoactive drips, monitoring devices, and rapid patient status changes is essential.
