Stepdown RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its step-down unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while supporting the clinical team across multiple patient populations.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Days (07:00–19:30) and nights (19:00–07:30)
• Shifts may rotate based on operational needs; the facility will honor preferred schedules when possible
• You must work at least every other holiday

Clinical Scope

You'll care for step-down patients and may float to related units to care for the same patient populations. Your responsibilities include direct patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 12 months permanent experience in step-down nursing
• License: Valid Ohio or compact state RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Assessments: You'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation; passing scores on both are required

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: November 20, 2026
• Background check and drug screening required
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from your specialty required at submission
