Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shift, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), providing care to patients on telemetry monitoring in a med-surg setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current, active RN license: permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 12 months permanent Med-Surg Telemetry experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (active and in hand)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months (manager references only—co-worker references will not be accepted)

Clinical Scope

You'll provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing the medical-surgical patient population. During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition assessment and safeMedicate training; both require a passing score (2 attempts maximum).

Compliance & Onboarding

• Negative background check and drug screening required
• BCI/FBI background clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Pre-start and annual competency modules required (6–15 hours average)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Nicotine-free requirements apply; exemptions for RNs available temporarily

Contract Details

13 weeks; extensions available up to 18 months with facility approval.
