Registered Nurse – Preoperative/PACU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking Registered Nurses for its Preoperative and PACU departments. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and requires the ability to float between PreOp and PACU based on patient care needs.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift Options: 4x10 hours (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) or 5x8 hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Positions Available: 4 RNs
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current CPR/BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent Preoperative or PACU nursing experience
- Pediatric PreOp/PACU experience preferred
- Permanent Ohio or Compact license required at time of submission
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and discharge teaching skills
What You'll Do
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, manage airway care, prepare patients for surgery, monitor post-anesthesia recovery, and provide discharge teaching. Float flexibly between PreOp and PACU to meet operational needs.
