Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Nights | Reidsville, NC

This is a 13-week travel contract in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department serving patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. The unit sees approximately 88 visits per day and is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, and radiology.

Schedule

• 4x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays as needed; must work 2 of 4 holidays during the contract
• Floating to other campus locations may be required

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• TNCC preferred

Clinical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
• Strong skills and ability to manage high-acuity presentations including CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, STEMI, and multi-system trauma
• Competency in arterial line management, central line care, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP, and procedural sedation
• Experience with blood product administration and ABG interpretation
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG proficiency required (compliance EKG exam required; 2 attempts allowed)
• STEMI/Stroke certified facility experience preferred
• Charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred

Submission Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• No open background check cases
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Third-party education verification required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
