Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC

Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-hour shifts

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: November 16, 2026

This position is in a high-volume adult emergency department managing a broad range of acuities, including stroke, cardiac, and trauma cases. The adult and pediatric populations are separated within the department, and respiratory therapy is available on-site around the clock to assist with BiPAP and ABG management.

Schedule & Coverage

• Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week cycle
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No call required

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Preferred Certifications

• CPI, PALS, TNCC

Clinical Skills (Required)

• Arterial line and central line management
• BiPAP/CPAP and ventilated patient care
• IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation
• Blood product administration
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• First-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• EKG compliance exam required (2 attempts allowed)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application

Previous charge RN experience is preferred. Floating to other campus locations within the health system may be required.
