Surgical Trauma – Medical/Surgical RN | Atlanta, GA

Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Contract

This high-acuity medical/surgical unit specializes in surgical and trauma patients, including gunshot wounds and quadriplegic and paraplegic patients. The unit is fast-paced and structured, with a strong support team in place including nursing support technicians, on-unit phlebotomists, and a unit secretary during night hours. A collaborative nurse handoff process is conducted between the ED and the admitting unit.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Guaranteed 36 hours weekly
• No block schedules; no requests for time off (RTO)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of surgical and/or trauma nursing experience
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation required
• Must be available to work assigned shifts as scheduled
