Interventional Radiology Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join its IR suite. You'll support a wide range of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for adult patients (18+), working in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment.
Schedule & Expectations
- Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday–Friday (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
- On-call required: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM weekdays; weekend call rotation approximately every fourth weekend (frequency may increase based on staffing needs)
- 13-week contract
- 40 guaranteed weekly hours
- Potential to float to OR or endoscopy for C-Arm support
Clinical Scope
You'll assist with IR procedures including vascular interventions, drain placements, biopsies, and other image-guided techniques. Team composition typically includes 3–4 personnel per case (combination of radiology technologists and RNs). Common medications include heparin-infused saline.
Requirements
- Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- New York state radiologic technologist license
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year experience (2 years preferred)
