Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract

Simpsonville, SC | Nights | 13-Week Contract

This telemetry-focused med/surg unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic and bariatric diagnoses. The unit supports a moderate daily census with interdisciplinary resources including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and phlebotomy.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Float required to other like units or nearby campuses based on census needs

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; 3 years in specialty required for first-time travelers
• At least 1 year of recent experience with an electronic health record (EHR)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Flu vaccine required — no exemptions accepted

Clinical Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Dysrhythmia identification and management
• Central line and peripheral line care/management
• Blood product administration
• Oxygen and nasal cannula management
• Isolation precautions/PPE

Key Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks | Start date: November 16, 2026
• Orientation held every Monday
• Pre-assignment modules required within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is billable
• Extension eligibility: travelers may not extend beyond three consecutive 13-week contracts without a minimum six-month separation or conversion to staff status
