Med Surg Tele
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Easley, SC
This 13-week day shift contract places you in an adult Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit managing a diverse patient population with cardiac monitoring needs. The unit supports approximately 20 patients daily and is backed by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and phlebotomy.
Shift & Schedule
- Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 3x12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required; may vary based on unit need
- Float to other units or campuses is required based on census
Clinical Skills & Patient Population
- Adults requiring telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience with CVA/stroke care, total joint replacement, and surgical drains
- Blood product administration and ER holding experience preferred
- Cardiac telemetry and remote monitoring
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active South Carolina RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Minimum Requirements
- 1 year of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
- Electronic medical records proficiency: 1 year minimum required
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
- Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials (up to 16 billable hours)
- Orientation begins on Mondays; 24-hour orientation provided
Extension Policy
Travelers may work up to three consecutive 13-week contracts (39 weeks). A fourth consecutive contract is not permitted without converting to staff status or completing a minimum six-month separation.
Distance Requirement
Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate.
