House Supervisor — Rochester, NY | 13-Week Contract

This facility is seeking an experienced House Supervisor to provide facility-wide clinical leadership across a comprehensive inpatient environment that includes an Emergency Department, Family Birthplace, Surgical Services, and multiple medical-surgical units. The House Supervisor serves as the on-site administrative and clinical leader, collaborating with the ICU charge team and providers on Rapid Response and Code Team activations.

Shift Details

• 5x8-hour rotating shifts
• Shift windows: 07:30–15:30, 15:30–23:30, and 23:30–07:30
• Weekend and holiday flexibility required across all shift windows

Clinical & Leadership Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing care delivery across all inpatient units
• Manage bed flow, facility/bed diversion, and centralized staffing coordination
• Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, restraint management, and code response
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (DPH, TJC, OSHA)
• Perform sentinel event monitoring, incident reporting, and risk management
• Patient population spans infants, adults, and geriatrics

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS (PALS preferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of charge/supervisory nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active NY RN license required prior to submission
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Floating between units is expected
• 80-hour orientation provided

Preferred Experience

• Community hospital, LTAC, or ED background
