Pathologists Assistant — Anatomic Pathology | Baltimore, MD

Days | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 13-Week Contract

This is a travel Pathologists Assistant opening within a high-volume Anatomic Pathology department. The department processes approximately 250 blocks and 30–40 cases per day, with a strong concentration of Breast, GI, GYN, and Pediatric specimens alongside a broad mix of surgical pathology specimens and biopsies.

Schedule & Coverage

• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8s)
• No weekend, on-call, or float requirements
• Local candidates accepted

What You'll Do

• Manage a high daily case and block volume independently
• Gross and dictate a varied surgical pathology specimen workload
• Handle Breast, GI, GYN, and Pediatric specimen types with proficiency

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Pathologists Assistant experience in a high-volume Anatomic Pathology setting
• Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up time; orientation is approximately 8 hours
• ASCP certification required; Master's degree preferred
• Prior travel experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Familiarity with voice-based specimen dictation systems and electronic specimen tracking preferred
