Acute Care Float RN
Position Overview
Join the facility as an Acute Care Float RN on a 13-week contract. You'll provide flexible staffing support across multiple clinical units, assigned daily by the nursing supervisor based on facility needs.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Weekends: Every other weekend required
- On-call: No
- Contract: 13 weeks, guaranteed hours available
Clinical Scope
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered RN license (Tennessee or multi-state compact)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in comparable-acuity acute care
- BLS certification
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions available)
- 2 professional references
What to Know
- Scrubs: Royal blue
- First-time travelers considered
- Block schedule requests cannot be accommodated
- Orientation includes non-billable compliance modules (2–5 hours, completed onsite)
