Acute Care Float RN — 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

Day shift, 3×12-hour float position covering multiple acute care units. You'll be assigned daily by the nursing supervisor to support varying patient needs across the facility.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (12-hour shift, includes 30-minute lunch)
• Days: 3 days per week
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Start: ASAP
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Floating Units

You may be assigned to:

• Medical/comfort care, observation, and medical-surgical units
• Surgery and GI
• Trauma
• Oncology
• Nephrology
• Orthopedic and joint replacement
• Neurology
• Cardiac surgery, cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN license (Tennessee or multi-state compact)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience at comparable acuity
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• 2 professional references (may be pending at submission)
• RTO (time off) must be approved at time of application

Clinical Details

• No on-call requirement
• Royal blue scrubs
