Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts)
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Weekend coverage required
• Two pre-approved time-off requests allowed during contract

Required Qualifications

• New York State RN license (in hand at submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required before start; NIHSS can be obtained prior to starting)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year current telemetry or stepdown experience
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience managing IV cardiac medications and continuous infusions
• Familiarity with stroke care protocols

Clinical Expectations

You must demonstrate competency in rhythm identification. The facility requires completion of a rhythm competency exam within 72 hours of hire, with a minimum 85% score and 100% accuracy on critical rhythms. A hospital-proctored assessment will confirm your ability to practice independently.

Critical drip and CVA care experience is a plus.

Orientation

Approximately 24 hours of structured onboarding. Completion of required online modules must occur before your start date.

Location Note

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
