Operating Room RN — Travel Contract

Marina Del Rey, CA | Days | 13-Week Assignment

This OR position is based at a community hospital with a high-volume surgical program focused on spine, orthopedic, and bariatric cases. RNs in this role can expect to circulate on three to four procedures per shift and actively assist with room turnover throughout the day.

Shift & Scheduling

• 3x12-hour day shifts; start times at 06:15 or 07:00 (through 20:00)
• No scheduling requests can be accommodated — flexibility is required
• Float requirement: Yes

On-Call Expectations

• Approximately 1 weekday per week (18:45–06:15)
• 1 weekend day per month (24-hour call)
• On-call begins at the end of the shift; candidates must be comfortable with this expectation prior to starting

Clinical Scope

• Patient population: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census: 15–20 surgical cases
• Procedures include: spinal fusion (ALIF, lumbar, cervical), laminectomy/discectomy, total joint replacement, arthroscopy, open/closed fracture reduction, gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, and general OR cases
• Scrub experience preferred; interdisciplinary support includes phlebotomy, radiology, and social services

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Active, permanent California RN license (no pending or temporary licenses accepted)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required — no exemptions
• Two supervisory references from within the past year required at submission
