Night Shift PCU Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Shift & Schedule
- 4x12-hour nights (18:30–07:00)
- Schedule options: 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48
- Every other weekend; rotating holidays
- No on-call required
- Float to other units as needed
The Role
Requirements
- 2+ years of nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA-issued only)
- Previous charge experience preferred
- First-time travelers welcome
- Must live 100+ miles from the facility
Compliance & Onboarding
- General orientation begins Sundays (online CBLs + 16 hours nonbillable modules)
- Relias advanced EKG test required within 72 hours of offer acceptance (two attempts allowed)
- Drug test within 12–14 calendar days prior to start
- Fit testing; facial hair must be trimmed per CDC guidelines
- You'll actively support nursing student education alongside clinical care
Contract Details
- 13 weeks; 91 guaranteed hours per week
- Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty if census decreases
- Additional shifts picked up above commitment flexed as needed
