Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist – Cath Lab
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist to join its interventional cardiovascular lab. You will perform and assist with active radiographic procedures, operating sophisticated imaging equipment to produce diagnostic and interventional studies of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterizations and related procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Call: Every other weekend; 2 weeknights per week after-hours availability required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Key Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Position and immobilize patients following established protocols
- Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures
- Provide technical support to ensure optimal image quality and procedural workflow
- Mentor and train technical staff on specialized skills
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in cardiac catheterization lab or interventional radiology
- Current state Radiologic Technology (RT) license
- ARRT certification preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Fluoroscopy certification required
- Completion of behavioral management training (PVMB, TEAM, CPI, or equivalent)
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology
- 3+ years technical experience
- Special procedures technologist experience
