Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic Technologist – Cath Lab
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic Technologist to perform and assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiovascular procedures. You'll operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system, supporting physicians in real-time diagnostic evaluation and treatment.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- On-call requirement: Every other weekend plus 2 weeknights per week
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Key Responsibilities
- Operate advanced diagnostic imaging equipment during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Position and immobilize patients following established protocols
- Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures
- Produce high-quality digital images per physician orders
- Provide technical mentorship to staff
- Maintain a safe, efficient clinical environment
Required Qualifications
- Current Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in California
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- Cath lab or special procedures experience (minimum 2 years recent)
- ARRT certification preferred
- PVMB, TEAM, or CPI certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology
- Three or more years technical experience
- Special Procedures Technologist background
This is a fast-paced interventional role requiring strong technical skills, critical thinking, and collaboration.
