Cardiac Cath Lab RN
Position Overview
The facility's cardiac catheterization lab is seeking an experienced RN to join a high-volume team managing 10–22 cases daily across five specialized suites. You'll provide direct patient care and procedural support for coronary interventions, peripheral vascular cases, electrophysiology procedures, and neuro-interventional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer conscious and moderate sedation during procedures
- Manage hemodynamics and cardiac medications (Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressins)
- Support balloon pump management and airway procedures
- Collaborate with catheterization technicians and physicians
- Perform EKG interpretation and basic cardiac assessment
Requirements
- Current California RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA-approved)
- Current cath lab nursing experience
- Comfort with procedural sedation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring
- No scrubbing required
Schedule & Details
- Shift: Four 10-hour days; start times 6:30–7:30 a.m.
- Contract: 13 weeks
- On-Call: Rotating weekend call for STEMI cases and emergencies (Friday evening through Monday morning; subject to change based on unit needs)
- Floating: Not required
- Scrubs: Provided by the facility
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Cancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment may be cancelled
