Surgical Center Nurse – Preoperative Care

Position Overview

Join the preoperative team at the facility's surgical center. You'll prepare patients for surgery, manage same-day and overnight cases, and support a fast-paced environment handling 55–70 cases daily.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 12-hour or 4 10-hour shifts per week
• Day shifts: 6–2, 7–3, 8–4, or 9–5
• Occasional midnight shifts as needed
• Rotating weekends: one 8-hour scheduled shift (7 a.m.–3 p.m.) per rotation
• Secondary on-call: 1–2 times per scheduling period (24-hour call, 7 a.m.–7 a.m., with 30-minute response time)
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current BLS Certification
• Strong IV skills and surgical care knowledge
• Robotics experience a plus
• Preoperative nursing or OR tech background preferred
• Valid driver's license (50-mile service radius)
• Scrubs provided by the facility

What You'll Do

Deliver preoperative assessments, patient education, and surgical care coordination. Work alongside charge nurses and OR techs in a collaborative surgical team environment.
