Mental Health Clinician – Psychiatric Unit
Position Overview
The facility seeks a compassionate Mental Health Clinician to provide direct care to patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions. You will work nights in a therapeutic environment focused on patient recovery and stabilization.
Shift Details
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic response
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Engage in therapeutic communication and patient education
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, counselors, and case managers
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Foster a safe, supportive environment for patient recovery
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Adult Behavioral Health experience
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
- Oklahoma state licensure
- 21+ years of age
- No previous disciplinary action
- DHS fingerprinting (coordinated as part of onboarding)
Preferred
- Handle with Care Certification
- ACLS and NIHSS certification
