Registered Nurse – Acute Care

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care and supervise nursing staff on a busy acute care unit. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, apply critical thinking to complex patient situations, and help guide junior nursing staff in a supportive clinical environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, day shift
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Call required: 5 times per 6-week period (including weekends)
• 12-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care using the nursing process
• Supervise and direct nursing staff activities; delegate appropriately
• Collect and analyze patient data; identify diagnoses and care issues
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers on safe, compassionate care
• Educate patients and families to promote health understanding
• Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in California (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor (required)
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health records systems required
