Emergency Department RN — Kansas City, MO

4 x 12 | 15:00–03:00 | 13-Week Contract

Join a fast-paced Emergency Department managing a diverse patient population across three distinct clinical areas: a Rapid treatment zone, a Main ED, and a dedicated psych-safe care area. The department handles a broad acuity range, including patients requiring advanced airway management, hemodynamic support, and behavioral health intervention.

Shift & Schedule

• Mid-evening to early morning shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM), 4 x 12
• 48 guaranteed hours available
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays per 4-week schedule
• 2 major and 2 minor holidays required

Clinical Scope

• Procedures include chest tube management, port placement, arterial line monitoring, and ventilator/BiPAP management
• De-escalation and crisis management are routine aspects of care given the integrated psych-safe pod
• EKG interpretation and use of rapid infuser technology expected

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri (or compact)
• Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Demonstrated skills in prioritization, time management, and patient de-escalation
• CPI certification preferred
• Float capability to a nearby ED campus required
