Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Travel RN
Lees Summit, MO | Nights | 13-Week Contract
This travel RN opportunity is on a Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate-level monitoring and care for patients requiring close cardiovascular and hemodynamic oversight.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 x 12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00)
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- 2–3 weekend shifts per 4-week period
- No on-call requirements
Clinical Scope
The unit manages post-cath lab patients and performs drip titrations, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and step-down level acuity. Equipment in use includes vital signs monitors, IV pumps, EKG, and BiPAP.
Required Certifications & Skills
- Active RN license
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Experience with post-cath lab care and vasoactive drip titration is essential — candidates without this background will not be considered
