Operating Room RN — Travel Contract | Arlington, VA

Join a busy surgical team supporting a wide range of operative cases in a structured, Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no on-call requirement.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Days, 5x8-hour (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), Monday–Friday
• Duration: 13 weeks | ASAP start (determined by charting system training schedule)
• Call: None required

Clinical Scope

The OR serves adult and geriatric patients across multiple surgical services, including general surgery, gynecology, breast/plastics, urology, orthopedics, and podiatry. Travelers should be comfortable scrubbing and circulating a broad range of cases, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures, arthroscopy, total joint replacement, hysterectomy, prostatectomy, hernia repair, and more. Float to the main OR may be required on a rotational basis.

Requirements

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission (pending licenses will not be considered)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Experience in trauma, neuro, ortho spine, and/or robotics preferred
• Charting system training required prior to start; prior experience with the OR-specific module is preferred

• Flu: Required October 1 – March 31 (medical exemptions only)

• Up to 7 hours of non-billable orientation modules required
