OR Surgical Tech – Urology

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced OR Surgical Tech with urology expertise to join the surgical team on a 13-week contract. This is a day shift role (06:30–16:30) working four 10-hour days per week with guaranteed 40 hours weekly.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years surgical tech experience (first-timers welcome)
  • Laser Certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS and NBSTSA preferred
  • Urology experience essential

Clinical Scope

You'll assist with a range of urology procedures including cystectomy, cystoscopy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, lithotripsy, and laparoscopic-assisted cases. The unit serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 10.

Schedule & Expectations

  • No weekend requirements
  • No on-call duties
  • Open to Monday–Thursday block scheduling
  • Will float within scope as needed to support facility operations
  • Expect some holiday coverage during the contract period

Vaccines

COVID-19 and flu vaccination required with no exemptions.
