Medical-Surgical RN — Travel Contract | Greensburg, PA

Shift: Night | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-Hour

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

This Med-Surg unit cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across a non-monitored medical setting. The clinical focus includes post-operative joint replacement, post-op bariatric and general surgery, and a broad range of medical diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services.

Clinical Skills Required

Candidates should be proficient in:

• Airway management: BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, oral suctioning
• Vascular access: central line blood draws, PICC line management, port access, peripheral IV placement
• Post-surgical care: chest tubes, surgical drains, wound care/wound vac, colostomy/ileostomy management
• Additional competencies: blood product administration, PCA management, insulin drips, heparin, continuous bladder irrigation, peritoneal dialysis, pre/post hemodialysis management, management of dysrhythmias, and isolation/PPE protocols

Scheduling

• Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per contract
• Float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius may be required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisor references preferred
